Summer has finally reached Sweden, and summer vacations are just around the corner. The Lab had big plans for this year, and with the first half over it surely looks like we're well on our way! As you might already know, a lot has happened with our upcoming title ATMOSFAR... but what about the Lab, and the people inside it?
Well, our talented interns graduated, and immediately got snatched by... us! We just didn't want to be without them, so we offered them to stay with the good ol' Lab. And guess what? They accepted! Lucky us! Apart from keeping these two knowledgeable and creative colleagues, two additional developers decided to join the studio to work on ATMOSFAR and we're thrilled and humbled to see so many talented devs wanting to join us on the journey. In fact, we were so happy about the last couple of years that we decided to throw a party! A couple of months ago we hosted a housewarming party for our (somewhat) new office, where we invited industry colleagues to come and hang out with us. We're very happy that so many people could make it, the local games industry community is filled with brilliant, funny and interesting people, and we're very happy to be a part of it.
As for ATMOSFAR, development has really picked up over the half-year. During the last few months, we've taken quite a few big and important steps forward in regards to the overall production. Island pipelines have been refined, animals have been brought to life and our soundtrack is now done thanks to Henry Corey and Pit Stop Productions. A new teaser trailer has, after months of hard work, been showcased at the 2025 PC Gaming Show, as we were honored to participate. An improved Discord server has been launched, already filled with passionate and enthusiastic members and we've finally been able to share that ATMOSFAR is being published by Shueisha Games, a gaming division of Shueisha Inc., and the publishers of global manga hits such as One Piece, Dragon Ball and Naruto. And of course, we've finally been able to share that ATMOSFAR is being released next year! Not too bad for six months, right?
Now, temperatures have risen, days are longer and the sun is finally shining which can only mean one thing: It's time for the team to take a well deserved vacation. Even though we are all extremely eager to get back to work on this title, it's just as important to allow everyone to rest up for a bit. We hope that everyone will return energized and ready to take on more challenges during the fall season; we've got a lot of exciting things planned! And don't worry, updates on ATMOSFAR will go out all summer as well so stay tuned.
Thank you all for your continuous support, praise and ideas! We're truly grateful for every single one of you being here. See you in a few weeks time!
